Buying tickets (comprar boletos, acheter des billets, Fahrkarten kaufen, 买票) is a practical communication scenario in foreign language courses where students learn to purchase tickets for transportation, events, or attractions using target-language phrases.

How It Works

  1. Greet the ticket agent or approach the counter.
  2. State your destination or the event you want to attend.
  3. Specify the number of tickets, class, and whether one-way or round-trip.
  4. Ask about the price and schedule.
  5. Pay and confirm your tickets.

Examples

  • Spanish: '¿Cuánto cuesta un boleto de ida y vuelta a Madrid?' (How much is a round-trip ticket to Madrid?)
  • French: 'Je voudrais deux billets pour Paris, s'il vous plaît.' (I would like two tickets to Paris, please.)
