Definition

Describing people involves using adjectives and expressions to talk about someone's physical appearance, personality traits, and characteristics. This skill combines vocabulary for body features, clothing, colors, and personality adjectives.

Examples

  • Spanish: 'Ella es alta, tiene pelo largo y es muy simpática' (She is tall, has long hair, and is very nice).
  • French: 'Il est grand, il a les yeux bleus et il est gentil' (He is tall, has blue eyes, and is kind).
  • Chinese: 她很高，头发很长 (Tā hěn gāo, tóufa hěn cháng — She is tall, her hair is long).
