Definition

The future tense is a verb form used across languages to express actions or events that have not yet happened. Different languages construct the future tense in different ways, from verb conjugations to helper words. Mastering the future tense allows you to talk about plans, predictions, and intentions.

Examples

  • Spanish: 'Hablaré con ella mañana' — I will talk to her tomorrow
  • French futur simple: 'Je mangerai' — I will eat
  • German: 'Ich werde Deutsch lernen' — I will learn German
