Nth roots
MathDefinition
The nth root of a number x is a value that, when raised to the nth power, equals x. Written as ⁿ√x or x^(1/n). Square roots and cube roots are the most common examples.
Examples
- The cube root of 27 is 3 because 3³ = 27
- The 4th root of 16 is 2 because 2⁴ = 16
- Finding the side length of a cube given its volume
