Phone numbers and addresses vocabulary teaches students how to give and understand contact information in a foreign language. This includes saying digits in sequence, understanding address formatting conventions, and recognizing that different cultures structure phone numbers and addresses differently.

Examples

  • French phone numbers are given in pairs: 06 12 34 56 78 is said 'zéro six, douze, trente-quatre, cinquante-six, soixante-dix-huit'
  • Spanish addresses: 'Calle Mayor, número 15, segundo piso' — Mayor Street, number 15, second floor
  • German addresses put the street name before the number: 'Berliner Straße 42'
